About AstraKids

AstraKids is a child development and learning centre located in Kammanahalli, Bengaluru. We provide structured learning and developmental support that may include:

• Initial parent consultations and child assessments
• Remedial, special-education and academic learning support
• Attention and concentration support
• Speech, communication, behavioural and emotional support
• Occupational, sensory and social-skills support
• Parent counselling and guidance
• Individual Education Plans and structured learning plans
• Group activities, yoga, mindfulness, art and play
• Weekend retreat programs and related family support

Availability, format, duration and suitability may differ according to the child’s needs and the resources available at the centre.

Information on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It should not be treated as a medical diagnosis, psychological or psychiatric advice, emergency assistance, a guaranteed assessment result or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate, but do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current or free from errors. Content may be corrected, updated or removed without prior notice.

Parent and Guardian Responsibility

A child’s enquiry, registration, assessment or enrolment must be completed by a parent, legal guardian or properly authorised adult. By sharing information or enrolling a child, you confirm that:

• You are authorised to make decisions for the child.
• The information provided is accurate and complete.
• You will disclose relevant health, learning, behavioural, emotional, sensory and safety concerns.
• You will provide and maintain current emergency contact details.
• You will follow reasonable centre, safety and attendance guidelines.

Where decision-making responsibility is shared, the person completing enrolment is responsible for obtaining any additional permission legally required. We may request confirmation of identity, guardianship or consent.

Enquiries and Initial Consultations

Submitting a website form, WhatsApp message or telephone enquiry, or attending an initial consultation, does not automatically confirm admission. An enquiry helps us understand concerns, explain available services and determine a suitable next step.

We may recommend an assessment, child interaction, consultation with another professional or an alternative service before confirming enrolment.

Assessments and Recommendations

Assessments, observations and child interactions help us understand current learning or developmental needs. A child’s participation and performance may vary across environments and days. An assessment reflects the information and observations available at that time.

Additional information or specialist evaluation may be required. AstraKids assessments may not be equivalent to formal medical or clinical diagnoses. Where appropriate, parents may be advised to consult a qualified external professional.

Program Recommendations and Enrolment

Recommendations are based on available information, parent discussions, observations and identified needs. AstraKids may recommend a different service, suggest a trial period, request more information, modify the frequency or format of support, refer the family elsewhere or decline a service that is unsuitable or unsafe.

Enrolment is confirmed only after required registration, consent, scheduling and payment requirements are completed.

Individual Development and Learning Plans

Where applicable, AstraKids may prepare an Individual Development Plan, Individual Education Plan or structured learning plan containing strengths, priority areas, goals, strategies, suggested frequency, home-support ideas and review periods.

Plans guide support and may be modified according to progress, participation, changing needs and professional observations.

Fees and Payment

Fees may vary according to service, assessment, program, duration, frequency and required level of individual support. Applicable fees and payment schedules will be communicated before confirmation.

Parents are responsible for reviewing the fee structure, paying by the due date, retaining receipts and promptly reporting payment issues. Fees may be revised prospectively with appropriate communication. Unpaid fees may result in an appointment or service being placed on hold or cancelled.

Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

The cancellation, rescheduling, missed-session and refund terms communicated at booking or enrolment apply to the relevant service. Parents should give notice as early as possible when a child cannot attend.

• Rescheduling is subject to availability.
• A late cancellation may be treated as a completed session.
• A missed session may not be refundable or transferable.
• Packages may have stated validity periods.
• Administrative or assessment work already completed may be non-refundable.

If AstraKids cancels or reschedules, reasonable efforts will be made to offer an alternative or suitable adjustment. Any refund will follow the applicable service policy and payment method.

Attendance and Punctuality

Regular attendance supports continuity. Parents must ensure timely arrival and collection, inform the centre of absence or delay and make an authorised adult available where required.

Late arrival may reduce session time. Repeated absence, late arrival or disruption may require a review of the child’s place in the program.

Child Health and Safety

Parents must disclose information that may affect safety or participation, including allergies, medical conditions, medication requirements, mobility needs, sensory sensitivities, relevant behaviour, recent illness and emergency instructions.

A child who is unwell, contagious or unable to participate safely should not attend. If a child becomes unwell, we may contact the parent or emergency contact and request collection. In an urgent situation, AstraKids may take reasonable steps to protect immediate safety, including contacting emergency services.

Medication

Do not send medication with a child unless arrangements have been discussed and expressly accepted in advance. AstraKids team members may not be able to administer medication. Written instructions, authorisation and clearly labelled medication may be required where support is accepted.

Behaviour and Respectful Participation

AstraKids maintains a calm, respectful and safe environment. Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, violent or seriously disruptive conduct is not accepted.

Participation may be paused or discontinued where behaviour creates a significant safety concern or repeatedly prevents appropriate service delivery. Where reasonably possible, we will discuss alternative strategies or arrangements first.

Parent Participation and Home Support

Some programs require parent involvement, observation, meetings, feedback or home strategies. Meaningful progress may require cooperation between the child, parents, AstraKids team, school and other professionals.

Parents remain responsible for decisions made outside the centre and for determining how suggested strategies are used at home.

Schools and Other Professionals

Child-related information will not ordinarily be shared with a school, therapist, doctor or external professional without appropriate permission, except where disclosure is legally required or needed to address a serious and immediate safety concern.

When consent is provided, relevant observations and recommendations may be shared to support coordinated care. Parents must identify the people authorised to receive information.

Photographs, Videos and Testimonials

AstraKids will seek appropriate permission before using an identifiable child’s photograph, video, testimonial or success story for promotional, educational, website or social-media purposes. Parents may decline promotional consent without affecting access to services.

Consent may be withdrawn for future use, although withdrawal may not affect material already lawfully printed, distributed or published.

Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information is handled according to the AstraKids Privacy Policy and applicable Indian law. Information may be used to respond to enquiries, understand needs, arrange appointments, deliver services, maintain records and meet legal, administrative or safeguarding obligations.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original website content—including text, graphics, designs, resources, program materials, worksheets, branding, logos, photographs and videos—belongs to AstraKids or is used with permission.

You may access content for personal, non-commercial informational use. Without prior written permission, you must not republish substantial content, sell resources, remove ownership notices, present materials as your own, reproduce assessment or training materials, create competing commercial materials or misuse the AstraKids name or logo.

Acceptable Website Use

You must not use the website unlawfully, submit false information, attempt unauthorised access, upload malicious software, interfere with functionality, collect information about other users, impersonate another person, copy content through automated means or submit abusive messages.

AstraKids may restrict access, block submissions or take appropriate action where misuse is identified.

Third-Party Services and Links

The website may include WhatsApp, Google Maps, payment services, analytics, social media or other external resources. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. AstraKids does not control their availability, security, content, accuracy or privacy practices.

Website Availability and Security

We take reasonable steps to maintain the website and protect submitted information but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, immediate correction of every error, completely secure electronic communication or freedom from harmful components.

We may suspend, restrict, update or discontinue website functionality for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AstraKids will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general website information, temporary unavailability, third-party services, unauthorised use beyond our reasonable control, failure to disclose relevant information or failure to follow agreed safety guidance.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

Indemnity

You agree to be responsible for loss or damage reasonably arising from unlawful website use, deliberate submission of false information, infringement of another person’s rights or a material breach of these Terms, only to the extent permitted by law.

Suspension or Discontinuation of Services

A service may be suspended or discontinued where fees remain unpaid, required consent is missing, continuing may be unsafe, the service is unsuitable, repeated absence prevents continuity, abusive conduct occurs, needs exceed our scope or continuing is not reasonably practical.

Where appropriate, AstraKids will discuss the reason and possible next steps with the parent or guardian.

Changes to Services

Programs, schedules, personnel, session formats and centre arrangements may change due to operational needs, professional availability, safety considerations or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Material changes affecting an active booking will be communicated where possible.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when services, website practices or legal requirements change. The revised version will be published with an updated date. Continued website use after an update indicates acceptance of revised website terms. Material changes affecting an active paid service will be communicated separately where appropriate.

Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. The affected provision will be modified only to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

No Waiver

If AstraKids does not immediately enforce a provision, this does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer rights and mandatory requirements, disputes relating to the website or AstraKids services fall under the jurisdiction of competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Before formal proceedings, both parties are encouraged to attempt resolution through direct and respectful communication.
